David B. Kelley found his voice and calling (GIFT) while visiting family in Toronto, Canada, in 2018. Originally from Norfolk, VA, he currently resides in the BBQ Capital of the world, Memphis, TN. David’s newfound talent as a professional voiceover actor lead him to voice projects for clients such as Dallas Theological Seminary, Johns Hopkins University, African American Heritage Inc, Rams Football Team, Swannanoa Valley Museum, and the voice for Mobb Films voicing the Late Congressman John Lewis walk across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama. His professional soundproof treated studio has Source Connect combined with top of the line equipment, including a Sennheiser MKH 416 shotgun mic, Rode NT1, Apollo Twin Interface, Presonus Eris 4.5 monitors, Dual Video Screens, MacBook Pro 2019, with Adobe Audition CC & Logic Pro X. He even has a Cyberpower 950 unit for emergency power if needed. To give back “to the community,” he’s a four-year mentor for the State of Tennessee’s TnPromise program, mentoring youth going to a university. He’s also a true advocate for “Veteran Benefits” by assisting veterans and family members in filing claims for compensation for injuries or illnesses from active military service and a MAN2MAN Prostate Cancer Foundation committee member.
