Jim “Jimbo” Kovacik is a multifaceted voice talent who spend twenty-nine years as a Morning Show personality in Houston, Texas. Immediately after he graduated from the University of Houston, Jimbo started his radio career with 97.9 the Box and mastered every aspect of radio. With his production skills, he has produced, voiced and even sang on hundreds of mornings show bits, commercials, and song parodies. Over the years, he also developed many character voices and he can do a variety of accents. His voice has endorsed companies like Academy Sports and Outdoors, Netflix, EPIX, Gain Flings, HEB, Phobia Haunted Houses, T-Mobile, Quick Weight Loss Centers, TBS, Tulsa Welding School, Helfman Dodge, Universal Technical Institute, The GetUpside Gas App, Rising Star – ABC TV, Animal Planet, Mike Calvert Toyota, Auto Insurance Discounters, Spartan Insurance, Rosenberg Mitsubishi, Jackson-Hewitt, TDECU, Oxygen, Science Channel, Loncar Associates, The Houston Rodeo, and countless others. His creative writing talents authored many station promos, sweepers, weekend promotions and specialty programs for the station. He has also covered major world events broadcasting from the 2000 Summer Olympics in Australia and the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah. Aside from voice work, Jimbo has written ten screenplays and he’s also a songwriter who has written over 50 songs. Jim is married with four kids and lives in Kingwood, Texas.
