Michael Kopp: Athlete; Public Figure; Actor
Mike a former professional athlete who was discovered and mentored by VO Legend Peter Thomas, “I was humbled and ever grateful for Peter and his guidance. Both as an actor and more importantly as a human being”.
Traveling the world Mike had the opportunity to gain real-life experience as a player and a coach, including a highlight of National Fast Serve Champion serving 141mph. After entertaining crowds on the tennis court acting seemed like a natural transition for him to express his creativity. Whether doing collage theater or performing voices for his 16 nieces and nephews Michael always had a passion for being a storyteller.
Since that time Mike has garnered national recognition. His voice — a welcoming mix of trust, authenticity, and genuine earnestness – has graced television, radio, and new media. He still can hear Peter’s valued voice saying to him to “visualize the copy & see the pictures” allowing his confident tone to dovetail perfectly with his collaborative character.
His many accomplishments span Film and TV, ranging from Commercial to Educational and Narrative content. His work includes National Network campaigns, major brands such as Citibank, Toyota, P.F. Chang’s, Hellman”s, The Food Network, and AT&T.
Michael received his first movie credit as the “Self-Help Narrator” opposite Meryl Streep and Steve Martin in the movie “It’s Complicated”.
