Rachel Buchman has been working in the voice-over and recording industry for over 20 years. Her industrial voice-overs bring alive copy for a diverse range of clients, from training programs for the oil industry (Schlumberger) to hotel management (Starwood Hotels), from highly emotional training for doctors and staff (M.D. Anderson Cancer Center) to educational films (Houston Museum of Science). Her long list of commercial work includes spokeswoman for state and national ad campaigns (Mann-Berkeley Eye Center, Texas Home and Garden Shows), Christmas spots (Walmart), as well as character voices and accents – witches to sexy French girls, Fanny Brice to sophisticated Brit! Ms. Buchman has voiced for A.D. Vision, one of the largest anime dubbing companies in the world. In addition, Ms. Buchman narrates regularly for both adults and children with the Houston Symphony, the Keene Chamber Orchestra, and the Shepherd School Symphony Orchestra. As a singer and storyteller she has recorded seven solo albums, four of which were made on Rounder Records, and has been part of many other recording projects. She has recorded songs for the documentary film, Ray Hill’s Prison Show, and is music director of the documentary, Alligator-Horses.
